First and foremost, we are a family of seven who have been involved in agriculture all of our lives. After 25 + years of managing farms for other people, we wanted to slow down and establish our own farm.
Hand-Forged Farm is the result of that dream.
Working with our land, we strive for sustainable organic stewardship in harmony with the forest around us. By utilizing permaculture and bio-dynamic agriculture principles we now grow over 80% of our own food. This year, 2015, also marked our first year of raising herbs for cooking, teas and medicine on a small commercial scale. We are enjoying the challenge of growing and creating products which you will find useful and delicious. We also love being able to share and teach the skills we have learned to help others who want to live the homesteading lifestyle.
