We have been getting a lot done here this week; Gary and Reliey have almost finished building a new hut for KW. It seems he has outgrown his former hut. I promise pictures when all is done. The pigs have been faring better than expected in the heat and humidity, they rarely leave the shaded wooded part of their pasture these days. Patches is still in great shape and everything looks good for her piglets in September.
On the home front, I have been busy with preserves, zucchini relish and bread and butter pickles have been on the go this week. I have finally used up the available supply of pickling cukes and zucchini. So to fill the down time tomorrow I'll be making a small batch of raspberry jam. You just have to keep repeating: this will be wonderful in the winter I'll be happy I made this on a cold day in February. Hopefully by February the tops of my fingers which I have sliced off using the mandolin will have grown back!
